While walking the beautiful park, I was repeating the words I read every single morning:
“I promise to be a grateful receiver of the gifts that surround me noticing nature, kindness, smiles, and compliments, which I gladly receive with a thank you.”
At the same time, I was remembering the words of Sylvia Plath, when she says:
“I felt my lungs inflate with the onrush of scenery—air, mountains, trees, people. I thought, ‘This is what it is to be happy.’”
—Sylvia Plath, The Bell Jar
Having the opportunity to walk and breath while being aware of the laughs of the kids and singing of the birds surrounding me, allowed me to be truly happy of being alive!
“The Earth has its music for those who will listen.”
-George Santayana
PS. When was the last time you realized the beauty of nature surrounding you?
