Week 31: Life happens… Such is life…

imageHave you ever planned a vacation trip, you create this beautiful picture in your mind and when you finally are in your vacation something happens and this perfect picture of your vacation no longer exists?

What happens in life!

More common than not, we all have experienced that kind of situation…

A dinner, a family reunion, a vacation trip, a weekend getaway… The list could go on and on and never ends.

What we need to understand is life happens…

Life is not a picture.

Life is a movie in which we are the writers, leading actors, and directors of own and most important bestseller…

Many of us prefer to see their own movie as spectators. Passive agents, receptors of whatever happens in their lives.

Those are the victim kind of people.

Those are the people who use to say: There is no other option. There is nothing I can do. I wish I could do something.

Those are the people who always complain, always seem to blame others, and their own circumstances for the life they are living.

Those are the people who talk about other people and always give you a very good reason why they can’t do what they want to do, or what is expected for them to do.

It is important for us to understand that we are not victims of our circumstances.

  • Circumstances are the result of our actions,
    • our actions are the responses to our beliefs, and
      • our beliefs are the result of our feelings,
        • which are generated during our process of thought.

As I said before, this what we call life is our own movie and we better do our very best to create of our life the best seller it’s called to become.

Such is life…

such-is-life-Yes, sometimes seems like things go in the wrong direction. But such is life…

We need to learn to deal with that.

We need to learn to adjust and continue in our path of success.

We need to learn that the show must go on.

You just don’t quit your journey in the middle of the road just because you got a flat tire. You change the flat tire and continue your journey.

We need to understand that we are the architects of our own destiny.

That we, and only we are responsible for whatever happens in our lives.

Yes, sometimes things don’t go the way we planned but such is life.

We can only control our present.

accept-your-past-with-no-regrets-handle-your-present-with-confidence-and-face-your-future-with-no-quote-1The two most common negative feelings we experience in our life is regrets and fear. We regret our past and we fear our future. The big irony is that both feelings happen only in our minds.

We cannot change the past and our fear for the future is the only product of our own imagination.

What can we do? You may ask.

The answer is simple:

Stop thinking about your past, what it was, and what it could have been. What happened in it is done. You cannot change the past. You can only change the way you feel about your past, learn the lesson, and avoid the same mistakes.

Start defining, with the luxury of details, the future you want for yourself, and live it!

Live your future in your present!

your-future-is-created-by-whatHow can it be possible? You may ask.

Once again, the answer is simple:

Define your life. Write it down. Read it (several times, every single day).

Exercise what I call “Imaginative Meditation”.

images (26)Take the time to close your eyes, be relaxed, and imagine yourself living the life you want for you.

Make sure you can see it, hear it, feel it, smell it, and taste it.

Two things are going to happen in your mind at the subconscious level:

Your subconscious won’t recognize what is real and what is fantasy (just because she can’t).

Your subconscious mind will try to close the gap she is experiencing between the two “realities”. And the only way she knows how to close the gap is by doing whatever is necessary to be done.

This past week has been a week full of surprises and challenges. Because life happens…

This week I have learned that I just change my flat tire and continue my road. Because such is life…
