Week 18: What Would the Person I Intend to Become do Next?
This week, Mark asked us to write not on one but on 9 different index cards the question: what would the person I intend to become do next? and put one on the top of each pile of index cards and the rest shuffled in each pile.
What a powerful question to ask me!
If at any moment of my life I have felt stuck, and I wanted to move, there is no more important question to ask myself that the title of this post: What Would the Person I Intend to Become do Next?
Because movement is good, but movement in the right direction is powerful!
As Gandhi used to say: “The future depends on what you do today”. What better person to ask about what you are about to do than your future you?
It’s so simple and so logical that it’s just brilliant! Thank you Mark!
It was another brilliant mind that once said: “you cannot solve a problem with the same mind that created it”. This is so true!
We need to become a better version of ourselves in order to change our present circumstances.
By asking myself this particular question every single day since last Sunday, I now have a better picture of what to do and what not to do in my life.
I now know that instead of expending a $1,000 in a new sofa and couch, I will expend that money in paying the application to my admission to the Texas Bar this next summer. I now know I will become a professional speaker and a mentor for many. I now know I will move out of my comfort zone and work smarter and harder than ever in my businesses.
PS. And you, what would the person you intend to become do next?
